An ISU Resource Type (IRT) represents major groups of institutional funding sources to assist with budgeting and reporting.

IRT hierarchies are used to group IRTs for more consolidated budgeting and reporting purposes such as Auxiliary, General University, Special Appropriations, and Sponsored Funding.

Examples include:

  • IRT1007 GU - General University
  • IRT1036 AESS-State Appropriation – AES
  • IRT1138 RSFFED-Restricted Sponsored Funding Federal
  • IRT1040 ATHLTC-Athletics Operations

IRTs have a default related fund worktag. IRT and fund are both assigned as default related worktags on all driver worktags.

IRTs follow these naming conventions:

  • IRT ID codes begin with the prefix IRT followed by four numeric digits (IRT1088).
  • IRT ID codes must be included with the name of the IRT in Workday.
  • Examples of IRTs in Workday:
    • IRT1026 AGOORG-Other Student Orgs
    • IRT1041 RESDIN-Residence/Dining
    • IRT1136 RGIFT-Restricted Gifts

IRTs are assigned to one or more of the following top-level hierarchies.
